this has got to be one of the cooler things I've seen! I do have a competitor, though, I just don't have a pic. Someone a few exits up the freeway from us took two old VW bugs and built them big ol honkin spider legs

. I'm not kidding, the things creep me out every time---arachnophobia, much? I'll have to get a pic sometime....

Well, I feel productive at least. We got the horses back over to our friend's pasture, a chore that's been needing to get done. Honey got stepped on by his big mare, mine of course is too much of a sweetheart to ever step on me lol. Sore throat is mostly gone, but whenever I bend over my eyeballs feel like they're going to pop out of my head. Not sure what's up with that, but I'm sure not bending over!

I think we all need to remember not to take our Honeys for granted, it's so easy to do. I know I was so, so glad he was there with me yesterday. I was joking with him that I should have him certified as my Emotional Support Animal, then maybe he could have come in the OR with me

Rachel, I send you my deepest sympathy, and a distant hug. I'll keep it virtual b/c I'm now being treated for pneumonia. Less than 2 weeks before I have to leave for Guatemala. I'm asking you all to pray for healing so I don't miss this trip. Better days ahead for you Rachel. Do what ever you have to do to protect your health, maybe even have your son take care of the chickens for a while.

to anyone who needs one! It's been a long couple of days here....

Wed I got transfused 2 units of blood. Not so short of breath, but still just worn out. The nurse heard some friction rub in my right lung so I went for a chest X-ray. Called the doc Thurs to get results, she said it was a poor picture and she wanted to see me in person Fri am. I also had her call in some antibiotic eye drops, I have pink eye (actually more like monster movie red bloodshot eyes, nothing pink about them). Couple other things going on, I told her I feel I'm just falling apart. So, Friday am she doesn't like what she hears in my lungs....CT scan. It shows infiltrates in the right lung. Probably viral, everyone says, but what's our mantra now? Better safe than sorry. So hey, let's do a bronchoscopy! Cause everyone wants a scope pushed down into their lungs, right? Well, apparently my week wouldn't have been complete without one, so off to the hospital we went. Thankfully, with the eye infection I had asked Honey to drive me to my apt so he was with me all day. Never thought I'd be thankful for goobery eyes! Had the bronch done and thank you Lord was able to go home the same day. Slept horrible, it was so hot and I kept dreaming they'd found worms in my lungs

. The wonderful doctor called me this am (yep, on Saturday, and she's not even on call this weekend!) to let me know prelim results--no fungus, that's the big thing I was worried about. Bacterial cultures still growing, not back til Sun pm or Mon. Probably viral, everyone keeps saying.

I'm married to the best man in the world....after the procedure you've usually got a pretty sore throat. He went to the store and bought me Ben and Jerry's--how great is that?

Wow. Sorry you had to get a Bronch, but glad they didn't find a fungus! Hoping for negative cultures and healing for you.

Yuck, hope you get over the PNA quickly so you can have a great mission trip!

Blooie, your plane pic 'got my curious up,' so I went looking. Found this in the Sundance Times, if anyone else is having a monkey moment (think, Curious George):

And for some reason, Volkswagens as spiders seems to be a popular theme
