That is so awesome!
No lumps in my throat - but a big, stupid grin painted all over my face. Ohh, I just gotta hug somebody!
Rachel, you've warmed my heart! What a thrill. When you find yourself wondering if it's worth it, remember that moment!!!
Baby chick pictures....
Awwwww.... they are so cute! Yayyy for chicks!
Cute! Look at those little fuzz butts!
Aww!! What a moment to remember! Give him (Echo) a couple of chicks to raise! bantams??? And yes, you were lying... hopefully, down for a few minutes to rest and watch those chicks,Rachel.
Made it through the fair without to much heel pain. My PT thinks there is 2 issues: 1. fat pad on my heel broke and as a result, my posture is off so I am getting nerve pain from my back into my heel.As long as I stay mostly taped up or somewhat off my feet, it's good! Yeah! Fair was fun. Next week starts school and the new routines for the year. Shoot, need to order older dd's textbooks for her outside homeschooling classes... OOPPS!
God bless you all!
Hb, glad the heels doing better. I remember w how miserable that was!
I got my Momma heating pad set up and put the chicks out last night. I slid the heating pad inside a pillowcase and folded the extra over and taped it down. Wrapped the whole thing in press and seal. Had fencing for the frame and just laid the pad on top. My frame turned out to be a bit wide for my brooder but I didn't want to cut it. I smoothed it down in back and pushed a lot more shavings inside. I figure that will raise them close enough to the pad, and I can pull shavings out as they grow.
Went out to check on them this am, kind of nervous....found this..
The other two were tucked inside
Everyone is warm and toasty and happy! And of course I have help caring for chicks..
