My leukemia's back.

Yes I am! Of course, I don't have to go outside unless I want to...that adds to the enjoyment factor, lol. We have about 2.5" on the ground now and more is expected before the end of the week

What about you, do you have lots of snow now?
For years Honey had been lobbying to move to Montana.

I don't like snow. Or being cold. Or wet.

When he started this, I was the working parent and he was the stay at home parent. I told him I'd move on the condition I didn't have to work. If I could be home, not have to brave the roads and the cold, I'd move.

Years later, we're still in southern Oregon.

But now, he's the working person, and I'm basically stay at home. Montana is still on his list of where he wants to move when Sugar Monkey gets out of school.

And I still don't like the snow. Or cold.

When I left Kansas, I swore I'd never have to be cold or shovel snow again so I moved to FL. Fast forward 6 years and here we are in WY. The thing that's made the cold weather ok for me here is that there is no (zero) humidity...it's amazing that 30* here doesn't feel nearly as cold as it did in a place with a lot of humidity.

If you like where you live, you should stay there. Montana is a good place to vacation!

NFC...... No we don't have much here yet but the towns all around us do..... 5 miles south of us got a foot..... And the town just north of us got 13 inches...... We got three.... And it's gone. But it just started snowing this morning and we are supposed to get a bunch.
Rachel..... I'd love Montana..... We looked into moving there when i was a kid. Enjoyed vacationing there.

HI All! Not much here. Glad to see some things quiet. Will be praying for the right house to buy! Need to go find a new closet or space for the tools that have been cluttering up/sitting/dumped under my dining room window for the last year. I borrowed a tower garden and put it there instead.
Anyone played Rummikube? That's fun. We tend to not keep points and just say whoever uses up their pieces first wins.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning!

What's everyone up to for Thanksgiving tomorrow? DH and I'll have our quiet day and turkey dinner here at home. I've got the pumpkin dessert bars done and the bread dough is rising.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, lots to be thankful for that's for sure!

Holidays - aka the time of year you have to unbury your dining room table, lol. Oooh, Rummikube, haven't played that in ages........
Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving.

People just don't get the humidity thing until/unless they actually have to live in it once in their lives. We got out here in the midst of a "heat wave" - the folks here thought they were dying, DH/DS/I were absolutely in heaven with how much "cooler" it was here than back in Indiana. Humidity makes a world of difference!

Does that mean you've at least adjusted to "wet"?

In my prayers for a wonderful Thanksgiving with your husband and boys. Bonnie, newcomer
Welcome, Bonniemarie!

Had the neighbor over yesterday to look at the place. He seemed pretty interested, so we may be on to something there. Honey's taken with a new listing of a little log place. I'ts got 10 acres, but the house is small. The Locusts would have to live in the garage.......I'm just not sure. I'm going to do a drive by today, then let the realtor know. House hunting is so stressful.....

Sounds like it might be promising with the neighbor showing interest

House hunting is fun for about the first house you look at, then it just becomes a chore - and no one likes chores!

Happy Thanksgiving to you! A quiet day is not a bad thing, we had those for the last 16 years while we were in NC and then IN, it was always just the four of us or a couple of "DH's kids" from the barracks that we'd have over if they didn't get to go home for the holiday......nothing like the insane big family days I remember as a kid. I hope you and your DH have a wonderful day.

We actually did Thanksgiving here yesterday with DH's parents - then Sunday we'll have another Thanksgiving at my sister's place with my mom/sister/her family and a bunch of their friends.....actually on Thanksgiving day I have zero plans, *might* go shopping if I come across some incredible deal I just can't pass up. Once you take the whole "family get together" out of the equation it kind of feels like just another day.

Honey and I are both working tomorrow, so it's just going to be a low key dinner. Echo is at his girlfriends' house, so just the four of us. Probably movies and a nap

. Poor Honey has been working so much, it's really too much. He's reaching burnout. I've thought about going in and telling the boss if they don't keep him at under 9 hours a day, I'm going to lobby hard for him to change jobs. Seriously, he left here before 7 this morning, it's coming up on 6 now. They keep saying it's going to get better, but they've said that for a yer. He's got to have time to focus on going to school, that was the plan a year ago and simply has not happened cause he's too overwhelmed.

Anyway, rant over. Got my shopping done today, braved Costco to get pies

. Ham, cheesy taters, green bean casserole....not sure what else. Pie and low carb cheesecake.

Trying to cultivate an "attitude of gratitude" here, having everyone say things they're grateful for. But I forget.
