My leukemia's back.

LG, I am with you but sometimes I can only get that food item no where else! And having a brother and 2 of my own working in food establishments doesn't help. LOL. The things you hear...
Here's a chicken question for you all... I have 2 gorgeous, nice roosters- a Bielfelder and a cream legbar- and 7 hens-CCL,lavender and buff orp, OE, EE, Welsummer, and a mixed one. IF I were to hatch out a few to sell, what would you label the chicks as?? EES? OEs? barnyard mix?? My Bielefelder is the #1 rooster and the CCL sneaks in while he isn't looking. Would you hatch this mix out? Why or why not?? Or would you go for buying Jubilee hatcing eggs?
I would definitely hatch some babies for my own flock, and sell any extras.

Shoot, every year when they have the April Fool's Day thread, I seem to miss it. Same thing this time, I was out of town most the day. Gotta go see what happened!
Huh???

HI Blooie and the rest of you! Quiet weekend!
Rachel, Wow a pair of CCLs for $20?? Don't know if I could have walked away form that one.
So in other news went to the second Missions meeting for our 3rd trip down to the Dominican Republic. Out to just move there we like it sooo much! They were talking about how Latin time is different than American time and how we would need to adjust to it. I joked with my daughter that It would be harder to adjust to American time while there and coming back and at least there we would always be early! I also joked that we always have culture shock coming back because we are so comfortable there.

Yeah, I was kind of kicking myself for not getting those Legbars. If I'd been able to inspect them better before hand I may have bid, but I was late and couldn't see them very well until right as they were selling. I need a little more time than that.

So, Blooie, I may be joining you on the "heart healthy" wagon. Had an echocardiogram done last week. Got the results online this morning, the ticker ain't doing so well. Ejection fraction is down to 35-40%, which puts me in about moderate heart failure from what I see online. Well, no wonder I'm tired all the time and can't breathe. So, probably a cardiology referral and some meds, hopefully will feel better. Dietary changes also, of course......it will kind of be good as I've been worried about Honey. He was low carb for so long and did very well, but you all probably heard the thud a few months ago when he fell off the wagon. He's been eating sweets like crazy and has gained a lot of weight. You know how it's hard to make changes for yourself, but for someone else it's easier? Well, we will each be changing for each other, so I'm hoping that will help.

Yep, that cardio workup would explain the tiredness and breathing difficulties, alright! So sorry you'll have another thing to worry about, doggone it! The cardio diet? Yeah, not so much around here.....I fell off that wagon months ago. Only good thing about a cardio diet is if something is being served that you really don't want to put in your mouth. "I'm sorry, I'll have to pass since my cardiologist is such a bear about my diet!"

Rachel, you've been over so many hurdles already. You can take this one too! Sending lots of good health wishes and prayers your way

Removal of your salt shaker is far from 'great bodily harm'.  :rant

Hey, Phil, how's the new Internet holding up?

Sounds like an awesome opportunity, when do you go?

Oh my, that does explain feeling so tired! Hopefully they're able to come up with a good plan that brings you some improvement.

I can hide your salt shaker too.

PHIL!  How are ya?

Well.... I lost a duck today.... It's the first one in three years. But it shouldn't have happened. There was a kiddy pool in the garden... When i set it up for them I put blocks in it so they can get out easy. This wasn't set up but with the snow starting to melt they have Been wondering around more. She got in and drowned somehow. I feel horrible but it's too late now. I wish I'd have thought of that happening. I dumped the snow water out of it. :(

Internet is working okay.... :fl

Phil, how does a duck drown? Was it a baby? I honestly didn't know they could, unless it was a female that was ganged up on by males. So sorry.

We have Cheese! Finally, a baby goat

. Single little solid chocolate brown doeling. Daddy is Mac, momma is Roany, so baby is Cheese. I swear, Sugar Monkey is in love! He's more into her than any of us, and that's saying something.

It was getting late and I didn't want to stress momma any more, so I don't have pics tonight. I'll get some up in the am. She's so darn cute!
