My leukemia's back.

Can I brag this one up? She went from being our granddaughter to being our foster child, to being our ward, back to being our granddaughter when we let her move back with her dad, then to a runaway whose picture was on the missing and exploited childrens' website, to a jobless, homeless, high school drop out. Then we went back to South Dakota and forced her to move back here with us. Within a month she had a job, her GED, and was back to being her old self. She was married a year ago and asked her Grampa to walk her down the aisle along with her dad. As she put it, "Dad gave me life, but Gramma, you and Grampa saved my life."

Today Little Diane turned 21. And she's gorgeous, smart, industrious, compassionate, and an absolute riot to hang out with. So proud of her.

The worse couple of months of my life.

Came to live with us in September and by October this was in her hands.

Grampa and her dad walk her down the aisle.

Kendra is her special buddy. Little Diane wanted Kendra to be her flower girl, and they danced at the reception.

You can put her in a lovely gown, but you can't take the silly out of our Little Diane. Look at those EYES!

All grown up, and so lovely! We are so proud of her.

Morning...41 here and still raining been raining since Friday....dreary chilly need to get work done but whos feeling like it. Could one of you Floridians email me some sunshine.

Well Rachel I can sympathize with you my lungs been yucky for a few days now. Thick mucus drainage all that jazz. I upped my prednisone a little see if I can open them up.

Going to town tomorrow to get duck supplies so I can finish duck barn for winter. They will have nice timed grow lights. And twin banks of heat lamps.
And straw bale nesting boxes.

Morning everyone!

Sorry Phil, no sunshine here today...it's overcast with intermittent showers. Temp is low 70's. I can't send you sunshine but I can send you some of our mosquitos if you'd like (but yours would probably eat ours for a snack).

LG, I must have missed something...what's the 16th?

Morning -late as it is.
I was hoping I was over this headache. It must be the storm that is deciding what it wants to do.
It is doing it's best Joe Strummer impression.

Should it stay or should it go?
