My leukemia's back.

Honey walked past his pen yesterday and told him "Dude, you should have let her catch you last night. You have no idea you could be getting laid right now"

That's my Honey!

Seems that all men think alike. Oh, that sounds wonderful. To have a day alone, free of the guilt that something outside should be done, and a stash of good books!!! Enjoy!!

X 2 - indeed it does.

going up to Portland next week for a "neuropsych eval"....that should be interesting. Hopefully they can either help me stay on disability, or help me go back to work.

OGM--I don't do those big swaps. I tried to get involved in one a few years ago, but the person running them is way over the top for me. I decided to just do my own thing here locally. They've also gotten so big, it's overwhelming for me. I can't do that many people any more, I go into shut down mode.
I hear you there -- I think I'll go to the Lebanon one just because it's a good excuse to go to visit mom/sister since that's where they live. I know where I used to live in Indiana they had TONS of smaller swaps, like a 2x a month one in the parking lot at TSC, haven't come across anything like that out here just yet. Just as well anyway I guess since I'm going to be SO limited on what I can have to begin with so no point in tempting myself by going and seeing what's out there.

Are you going to be at OHSU? I have to say, having spent 4 days in the last two weeks up there I am VERY impressed with them -- two days were for sister's kidney stuff and the other two were for me, EVERY department and EVERY person that we encountered during any of it was just fabulous to work with, maybe I've just had really crappy medical care prior to this, IDK, but definitely ok with me that they are the network provider for us where we are now.

Good morning, hope you all have a good Friday!
Good morning! I think I need to hurry up and find a job so Fridays can mean something to me again, lol.

iffy for me meant it was still a little tight at times. Mostly when laying down. I don't always get short of breath as much as I have difficulty physically breathing.

Yep, one of the new clinics down by the waterfront.

I've always been thrilled with the care I got at OHSU. I spent weeks and weeks there, and for the most part everyone was amazing. Then, I'd be local and go to the hospital and freak out cause the level of care was no where near the same. I remember saying I felt like the staff locally was trying to kill me off. Just no where near as detail oriented and overall not as organized and just plain paying attention. Oh well, hopefully those days are past me!

I hope things are going well for your sister, and for you of course.

Did you get to ride the tram? I'm thinking of parking up at the main building and taking that down to the waterfront. I don't know what parking is like down there, always been up on the hill for my care.

Yeah, I live with teenage boys and Honey. Pretty much everything here has a sexual innuendo attached

. I just roll with it. At least they keep me laughing.

Got to confirm my blue frizzle pullet lays blue/green eggs today

. I was pretty sure she would, but nice to know for sure. Still contemplating further breeding pens in my mind. It's so wet, hard to get any practical work done out there.

Well, got an unexpected call last night. I'd been scheduled for an overnight sleep study, but not til May. They had me on the cancellation list and a spot came up last night. Good thing they called when they did, I was on my way to bed!

It wasn't as bad as I'd thought it might be. they hook you up with wires all over--scalp, face, bands around the chest and belly, leads on the legs. I should have taken a picture. I did get some good sleep, though. Have to wait until the Dr reads the results, the tech wouldn't give out anything

.

Rainy again today, but we've got to get stalls cleaned. Honey's still working on the new truck. Not a whole lot going on otherwise....

Hope someone has sunshine! And good breathing to everyone

Rachel,
Glad you got a sleep study done! 2 of mine have them regularly. It is very interesting to see all those wires and electrodes and wrappings on you. For kids they look like mummies when they are finally done with them. And not on your life or for a million bucks will they give you a even a remote clue of what was seen or found!! But having one done can prove or disprove sleep issues. Sleep issues can kill you literally. As to the house feeling smaller, I had to laugh when I read that as I had 3 dogs and 3 family members piling onto the bed in out small .bedroom this morning. I sometimes think I would like to live in a tiny house...must be a little daft to think I could do that with 3 dogs and 5 messy people.
Phil,
How are you now? Still on 60 mg.? And what was the final dinner menu?? We all would like to come over for dinner! Makes me hungry for roasted vegetables! How do you cook with a salt slab?? Never heard of that before! Can you tell us more? I have a few steaks from that 1/8 of a cow we bought to use soon...
Rnott,
Thanks for answering my question: How long would it take for a mating to be pure if you pen them together? and How long would you need them tp be together for it to last? So I would need to separate them for at least 45 days, and hatch only the last 12 days in order to be sure of pure breed chicks. Correct?? If correct, and I do that, Is it hard for them to reintegrate back into the flock once released? I have a small flock of 6 hens and 2 roosters. They all get along really well! So not sure if I want to just buy chicks, set mixed eggs, buy pure bred eggs, etc. but my whole thought originally in keeping the 2 roosters was to not have to put out $$$ for more eggs or chicks! And if a Crested Cream legbar male mates with a Lavender Orpington will that hen lay green eggs?? And if a Bielefelder male mates with a CCl hen also green eggs??
Finally got most of the salmon baked out of the oven but think I will go for an oven cleaning this weekend. And my second job has been shut down by the nasty stomach bug all last week and possibly into next. First local got involved, then state and now CDC! Management is not happy and on the warpath. Not happy about losing a week's pay but am glad to not be there dealing with everything.

No one's heard from Outpost have they???
SUNNY and 68 today!!! Wearing a t-shirt and jeans in February!! SOOO wierd!

Yes and yes.

first cross, you'll get mostly black barred chicks, with gold leakage from the Legbar father. Lavender is recessive, so when you mate with a non-lavender bird it basically act like black. Pullets should lay green eggs.

second cross, you should still have the auto sexing features of either of those pure breeds. Pullets should lay green eggs.
