My leukemia's back.

Hi all! Caught up reading everything.... Good to read wonderful things are happening! Baby chicks, cows, goats, etc and new homes! Yea!
Sorry haven't been on. So much happening.. got a second job, didn't learn it fast enough, made so mistakes, got fired at 60 days. Meantime my family had the bad stomach flu, the flu and now my special needs dd just got home on O2 after a week in the hospital while my Aspie guy is also dealing with the flu and trying to get his college class work done. Lost about 3 weeks of work over the last 2 moths. Ouch. We will get through this but it was really nice to feel like things were coming out of the dessert for 60 days. I have an interview this Friday for another job and meantime am filling in for an afterschool program with my current job. I would love to stay but it's just above minimum wage with no benefits or pto. No pity needed but do pray, please.
Maybe chick fever is coming next to our house??

Here's to spring, bringing all things new and renewing us! Breathing, working, paying the bills, and maybe sneaking in a chick here and there.....yep, I brought home 4 from the Grange today

HBH, good luck with the interview and I hope everyone is well soon.

Good Morning all.

Our main telehealth nurse had a death in the family and she's been off this week. I've been filling in about 2-3 hours a day. the work is nice, but it's kind of wearing as the week goes on. I just wish I felt better. Going in for a cardiac echo on Monday and getting set up for pulmonary rehab. Not sure that will help anything, but at least it will let me know what I can expect limit-wise.

Hb, I sure hope your interview goes well. You all just need a break!

Gloomy so far this morning, we'll see if it burns off and we get some sunshine this afternoon. We've got a goat (Roany) that's due to kid pretty much any time now, so we're on goat watch. Baby goats should be so much fun!

HB, praying for you with the interview tomorrow. Remember.... you are interviewing them also. You want to find out if you are willing to take the job they have to offer! God will send you the right job, and if that's not in His plan, then, He'll meet your needs without an other job. The human body can only stretch so far. My hours are incredibly sporadic. And hubby is cut back to 4 days/week through the winter. Goes back to 5 next month. How we get the bills paid sometimes is a mystery. But, then again, I know it's not really a mystery b/c I know the Man who owns all the cattle on them there hills.

Yep, blessed spring. Oh how wonderful: Back into the deep freeze here. Snow persists. Howling winds. I suppose there is a blessing in this: the wind is so strong that the hawk who has taken to perching on the top rail of the chicken run can't hang on! It's spring in the house: too many seedlings. Sweet potato sprouts in pots and in water cups, and more growing on the mother potatoes. Geranium cuttings all over the place, Seedlings to pot up, and more seeds to plant.

I think this is so important to remember -- and was something I became acutely aware of during my most recent job search. There were several interviews I left feeling that I was hoping they would not call and make a job offer because I had realized it was not the position I wanted. It also factored very heavily into me leaving the interview for the position I just started hoping so very much to hear back from them with an offer because I had finally found the one that felt right, that was a good match for both sides.

Oh, yay for goat watch --- fingers crossed for an uneventful delivery! Baby goats have this amazing ability to find joy and fun in every moment of their life, they are so much fun to watch.

Sounds like you've definitely had a full plate of late, understand being absent but very glad to see you back on --- it's important to take a few minutes for you even when it seems there just isn't time to, in fact, those are the times you need it the most.
Wishing you the very best at the interview tomorrow!
