Not Rascal. First she is hell to catch. When she comes home she bolts out of the carrier as soon as there is a 3" gap in the zipper and hides.
She was diagnosed with hyperthyroid back in November. I noticed she seemed to be getting bony. I think they weighed her at a bit over 5 pounds, she's normally 8 (yeah a small cat). Apparently it is pretty common in cats her age (about 12). Vet prescribed some medicine that went in her food 2x/day, test her 3 weeks later to see if the thyroid numbers came down. They did and she was up to 6.5 pounds. Once I knew the problem I started giving her a lot more food and a fair bit of deli meat too. She loves that stuff.
We could have stuck with the medicine but once shipping was added it was $65/month and we had to be REAL sure the other 2 cats didn't get into her food. She is otherwise healthy so she is in for radioactive iodine treatment, took her Tuesday last week. They keep them until whatever radiation they are measuring drops to 5. Cost breakeven is about 2.5 years which is more than probable given her general health. The treatment apparently is pretty much always successful.
Thought I posted it here but maybe a different thread? Can't keep track of them all
You can see her here, silly cat is sleeping in the litter pan again.
