My leukemia's back.

Just heard. lumpectomies went well. They’re waking her up now. She’ll go home later this afternoon, or actually back to boyfriend Mike’s house. His mom is a nurse, so that makes us feel better.

We’ll know more about what they found in 3 days or so. Thanks for all the prayers and support!

Glad the lumpectomies went well for Little Diane!

We'll forgive this one transgression Blooie ;)

Yeah, I'm not sure I would have shared that one. Maybe wait until she's a bit more awake. But I'm glad she came through fine.
Mike said she was hilarious, and they both shared the photo on FB, so….

She was busy examining the back of her hand in this shot and marveling at the “wrinkles the surgeon sewed on the back of each finger….look how even he got them!” Then the only nurse she wanted was the one with the big cantelopes on her nose. She demanded a loaded burrito so she could puke….Silly Bumbley!!

@Blooie how is Little Diane doing?
She’s still hurting…a lot. Mike‘s mom (the nurse) rigged up a special bra for her with pockets to hold ice packs, and Diane says the only time she’s halfway comfortable is when those ice packs are in there. She heads back to the doctor on Friday for a follow up and to get the final pathology report. She’s hoping they have made the decision on her treatment plan. They've discussed possibilities with her, of course, but no final plan is in place until the results of this pathology report comes back.

Thanks for asking!

Best wishes for Little Diane, and hope they got all the cancer and she makes a complete recovery.

I ended up having a second cancer surgery a week after the first to remove a little more since the sample from the first surgery showed the cancer cells too close to the edge of the removed tissue. doctor felt really bad about having to go back but I am just glad that they checked and made it right.
Two days later, while hubby was at work my dog climbed a snowbank and escaped over the fence. I ended up over knee deep in a pond trying to rescue the dumb dog who was chasing the geese and broke through the ice. I had to go home, grab a long board, go back and break the ice as far out as I could reach. It was just far enough - so he could make it close enough to me so I could drag his butt out of the water. He was so tired that he couldn't stand. There I stood out in the field, wet clothes and all waiting for him to recover enough to walk to the truck. And then I had to help him up into the bed of the truck when we got there. A 60-pound dog, soaking wet and dead tired is HEAVY!!! But we both survived the ordeal. God was on our side that day.
