I can't get over how much they've grown!

What a beautiful area for them to roam around in! My flock loves to fly around their area also...so much fun to watch & I love seeing them so happy! The first day we let them enter, they were flying all over...must feel good to stretch their wings in freedom!

Hi, Rene! I've been busy as usual but have been well. Chickens are getting close to laying. I can tell a couple are pretty close .. better get the nesting boxes built How have you been? I'll have to hop over to your thread!

Hi Rei! I'm glad that you're doing good! My girls go back & forth as to whether they want to use the nesting boxes or the pen or the floor of the coop...lol! I just never know! We're on a quick trip with my husband's sister and her husband, but I saw your post & wanted to make sure I said hi! The first egg is always so exciting!

Finally got a couple nesting boxes in! Girls are 18 weeks so hopefully eggs will be coming soon

That looks fantastic Rei! How many more boxes are you planning on putting in? The first eggs are so exciting...I can't wait to see them!

Thank you ! I wish I could take credit for them but my hubby is a lot more handy then I am

I think we are just going to try the 2 boxes for now. There are 12 girls so three would have maybe been better but we will try it and see!

Same here...I share the idea...Dale makes it real...

2 for 12 might be a little tight...it will make for some funny behavior though, they will climb right on top of another hen in the box they want or they will sometimes just drop one on the floor of the coop or out under a bush! I had 5 boxes and finally made 2 of them larger, because they all wanted the same box...silly girls!

Yes, very true! We might have to end up adding another.. trial and error, right? I've heard of them all liking one box..it will be interesting for sure!!
