my in-laws live in Fayetteville and I wouldn't be surprised if the corruption spread there. there's always hinky stuff going on in cumberland and the surrounding counties.

There are some really good cops, but there are just as many that BEND the law because they feel they are above it, just how above it determines how crooked they are.

I honestly believe that, for the most part, good cops outnumber the bad. But then I believe that most people are decent so I don't buy that 'the next guy is crooked."

The cops that I have known have all been dedicated to their work. Even within my local police community it was the officers themselves who originally tried to bring complaints against other police men. From what I understand the city council chose to ignore those complaints.

Ouch... thats harsh.. when i was lurking on here i remember quite a few of law enforcement officers families on here..
