It seemed fine this morning and I went in to check on it this evening and found it dead. I don't think it was gone for that long. I just cried.

I don't think I have the heart for hatching and new poults as cute as they are. I think here on out, I will get poults a little older after they aren't so fragile. I lost 2 out of 5 last summer. I know that people think I'm nuts... that it's "just a turkey"...but......

Sorry to hear that. I had a tough time my first year with turkey poults but figured out that I could improve some things, and now my poults do very well (except for the one that Mom hen stepped on that died). Maybe you could share some of your techniques and we can give pointer?? if you feel like venturing into it again. Sometimes, though, they do die, regardless of what you do.
