The left one is a slate. The middle is a black and the right one is a Royal Palm.

The only one that is an SOP bird is the royal palm.

I breed for color now and not SOP. The slate is actually a rusty blue, the Black is who knows what. He is based on Blue slate.

If you want just two or three I would get all hens. they tend to be sweeter and RalphieDux won’t get raped. Also toms are like bulls, you can’t trust them around small kids. As much as I like mine I never let my Grandkids be around them if I am not there.

JJ was the exception, my Grandkids loved JJ and he loved them.

The Canadian geese that rear their young on our ponds every year make a mess. Yes, their turds are huge.

Are those at least good fertilizer? (Note to myself: Goslings are super cute, but the grown-ps poop too much!)

They lay 80-100 a year. But they are huge, but you have to catch them before they start setting.

the eggs are firmer than chicken eggs. They are more meaty but they make great pastry.
