What in the world is a ‘duck yawn’?

Sure, I can record landscape instead of portrait.

I call it a "duck yawn" when my White Layers open their bills wide - without making a sound or eating - and the move their heads forward and close the bill again. It looks like they're yawning.

Both my cockatiels and my parakeets would yawn.
At least I always thought that's what they were doing why I do not know.
But I don't think anyone really knows for sure why people yawn either.
