And here is the goofy Petey again...making noises that remind me of an immature teenage boy. Just listen, Petey Quacks Underwater, but it sounds like a fart! :lau:lau Then she makes a go at trying to eat a rock. Oh dear lord, please tell me she won’t really try and then get choked on the rock. I won’t be able to take it!
Nah, she'll probably just swallow the rock.😉

Listen to the big, white duck snoring. I know it’s hard to hear the first time with all the chicken and traffic noise, so you might have to listen twice, but I swear Petey Snores! She still doesn’t hold a candle to my DH though!
Morning Bath Time is peaceful...for the ducks, but not so much for me with all that dang cackling going on. I like to see the ducklings rise up out of the water flapping their wings, even though their feet are not touching the bottom of the pool.

I could literally sit and watch them all day. Sometimes I watch them and the chickens too much.
Listening to that chicken in the background, i understand why my wifie refuses to have any chickens around the house. Is that the »egg-song«?

I have several that start that nonsense when another hen is in “HER” nest box. And they will go on and on until it empties. People say roosters are noisy! My roo doesn’t hold a candle to my hens. It’s not always this bad though.

Now my wife thinks i've lost it! - Had to get the milk really fast out of my mouth!
That underwater »quwarx!« is too funny! :gig

Relax! Ducks usually have their bellies full of rocks to grind down their food.
-> There is that one green glass marble here that has already circulated multiple times through all my ducks. It is the size of a dime and the moment one duck poops it out, the next one grabs it and swallows! I'm trying to hunt down that damn thing since over a year now!
I assume it is one of those glass-balls that you can use with a slingshot. Cabelas is selling bags of those here and it seems the previous owners of my property went a little overboard with their armament, i have found so much stuff here while digging, sometimes i don't even know what i uncover…

Too funny. In grade school I used to play marbles! I guess that game is a thing of the past.

I would love to have some Bantam chickens! As a little boy my uncle had them and i loved their eggs, almost pure yolk, yummy! But the "Missus" said »no chickens near the house« and as a wise chinese man once told me: "Happy wife, happy life!" - so no chickies for now…
