It depends on the speed and the duration of the tail wag, so far I have observed:
Hillbilly had mentioned duck soup and I thought, “How Crazy Sounding!” Of course it contains things they love, but to me, the key was putting those things in water. That way they don’t have to run back and forth to the water, rather just filter through the water and gather all the goodies. They do still get a final drink of fresh water afterwards though.
— ooh, that sounds so sad) and cut the boiled eggs up into probably 24 pieces each, usually 2-3 eggs. Then I’ll throw 3/4 c of dry cat food in on top. The final ingredient is either frozen green peas, salad, or a nice bunch of whatever green plant they love.
And we can’t forget the quick wag right before they shoot forth a mess!
I sweep out the kitchen*, drop everything into a planter half full with water, add some cat food, sunflower
seeds and fodder and offer it to the ducks.

I call anything that has a beginning and an end a story lol.
I didn’t know they could have all that stuff! I’ll have to start adding more stuff to their soup.
