It depends on the speed and the duration of the tail wag, so far I have observed:My crazy ducks love their evening duck soup so much that they meet me at the top of the steps and lead me up to the duck lot every.single.night! (Thanks Hillbilly for telling me about duck soup.) And then they make me feel terrible because they act like they’re starving to death. What gives?
And is it true what they say about why ducks wag their tails? Are they happy?
- Short (1-2 sec) and slow wag: Means something like "Hi there!"
- Longer and faster wag: I am a happy duck
- Short bursts of super fast wags, almost like the tail is wagging the duck together with short quacks: I am super happy to see you again!
— ooh, that sounds so sad) and cut the boiled eggs up into probably 24 pieces each, usually 2-3 eggs. Then I’ll throw 3/4 c of dry cat food in on top. The final ingredient is either frozen green peas, salad, or a nice bunch of whatever green plant they love.
