My Magellan Geese

Why mark? you would have just sold them to me lol :)

Good Luck Shawn.. I hope you have some so I can get a pair from you or ar least a gander (male)

Nope, would have kept these, they are full winged and full winged Magellans are hard to find. Maybe I can talk Richard Schock into raising a couple of pair for me one day.....

The first pic is the boy Magellan then a boy white-front and a blue goose female Richard and Roger are who taught me the most about geese

The snow female is full winged as well

Shawn.. I am getting a Hen this weekend.. So hopefully you will have an extra Male :)

None of my birds are laying! I had one sharpwing on eggs religiously and she just stopped and then if got below freezing at night..

I am still cleaning out my catch pen.. Fulvous tree ducks or ring teal anyone ?

Yes they do well with other ducks. But since I love them so they have their own pen. This year they act like they are going to attack me after I go in the pen to feed. But It is all just a bluff. Hopefully I will get alot of babies this year. I will probably pull some eggs and incubate some before I let the hen set on a batch. They layed their first time last year in the barrel. Had 7 eggs . Only one was fertile which she hatched out and raised. It was just getting to be a big baby(still had its down) when it died. I think it was because i fed it a bad plant but who knows. I could go in and pick up the baby to check its weight and they are the first geese Ive kept that didnt attack me with eggs or baby present.LOL!

should i have them in a pen without plans and are they enjoyable geese and were did you get yours i got mine from white feather farm

I would hope you have your own plans dylan. I also would hope you enjoy them. Otherwise why would you get/have them? I have already told you how much I enjoy mine on this thread. I also have seen pics of all your birds. They are very nice! Im assuming you are very blessed that your parents have got all of them for you. Now Are you taking care of them a little and spending some time with them all so you can find out on your own wether they are enjoyable ? I personally think you should always learn as much as you can about birds or any animal BEFORE you get them. This is so you at least provide them with the proper care. By your posts I would also advise you to learn more and enjoy what you have now instead of trying to get more birds. Unless, of course your parents are the main caregivers and know most all about them. Now get outside and enjoy all your birds!!! Then tell us what you enjoyed or learned and share some pics.

Congratulations! They are one of my favorite sheldgeese! I hope you raise a TON of them.

Do you vaccinate your west nile sensitive species? If so, what is your brand of choice, your dosage and frequency? I've rarely had problems with the adults but the young ones are really sensitive and I've found some just dead with no signs of problems. They looked like they were doing great.
