Kate,

So very glad to hear the news about "Mom" give her a massive hug from across the pond for me. Parents can be such a worry! I too am on the same meds as your mom, have been since 46, am now 55 so make sure she keeps taking them, its important to live life to the full and try not to worry to much about it. Might be beneficial for your mom to have her cholestrol levels checked out also, (yep I take meds for that as well) Unfortunately all the heart trouble in my family in genetic! What a legacy...

Keep us all posted......Linda x

Excellent news, Miss Kate!

Writer, If it was Transient Ischemic Attack, commonly referred to as "T-I-A"s, my Mom has been having them pretty much all my life! She wasn't diagnosed until 1987, but had been having the symptoms as far back as I can remember. With medication, she does very well. Celebrated her 86th birthday in July, and refuses most offers for us to "do" for her, in spite of having had both hips replaced in 2004. Says very emphatically that she is not an invalid yet!

So happy to hear she is home and no signs of a stroke. Her doc told her the same as they told my dad about Transient Ischemic Attack = TIA (fancy words for mini stroke). My dad is not the same as before his mini strokes and there are only little signs. I will continue to pray for your mom and family.

Thanks you all so much and thank you for the information it really helped me understand it much better. Her cholesterol was little high she said but she didn't say how much, it was always low in the past. I've passed on the good wishes and she just called to tell me my babies had curly fries for lunch, and since I know she doesn't eat those she bought them specially for the birds!

Just wanted to let everyone mom mom's appointments went well and she's doing great! She is also doing pretty good on trying to stop smoking. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts.
Kat
