What doesn't make sense is that the police officers who came to the scene stated that even though my mom was a pedestrian, in New York State, the "No Fault " law would apply.
Hoping your mom makes a speedy recovery. I know how frustrating it is when your folks are far away, and you can't always be there to know what's happening.
I know that with the No Fault law it means that if two cars get into an accident, no one is necessarily at fault, I think. Somehow, the car insurance companies work it out. I'm not sure how. Does anybody know?
