My mom's HOME from surgery now...

It's been over 30 years since I was where you are, I was 14 when my mom had her first surgery. The last was on my 16th birthday. We almost lost her the first time, it was scary and hard. Today she is healthy and happy at 68. Believe in miracles and don't be shy about asking for one! You're in my thoughts and prayers...

Thinking of you & praying....been through long surgeries waiting like you, but for my DH. Three of them. Hurry up and wait for news....hang in there! Happy, happy thoughts!!

UPDATE: The mastectomy portion of the surgery went extremely well, and the sentinel lymph node that was sent for biopsy is negative for cancer. They'll hold it for 24 hours and test it again tomorrow, because there is a slight chance it could test positive tomorrow. She's been in with the reconstruction surgeon for about 3 hours now, and he originally estimated 4 hours for his surgery, so I'm hoping they'll be done with that any time now.
