My father-in-law is undergoing chemo for a malignant tumor in his abdomen. Lost my mother-in-law to cancer 11 years ago tomorrow. Cancer sucks!

I can only tell you my experience when my father was given 6 months to a year. First you cry. Then I realized that it's a short time and one should use the limited time left to talk and bond and say your goodbyes and laugh alot. I know it's easier said than done, but try to rehash memories together and laugh everyday at least once. You'll both feel better. This is only my experience and you are younger than I was, but every day is more precious and you'll need to hang on the memories you're making now.

I HATE cancer. It's ravaged my family and I'm so sorry it's attacking yours, too. My thoughts and prayers are coming.
