My mother is my best friend.

Dear Heavenly Father, we humbly come before you this day to ask a special blessing on our friends as they travel through this journey that is before them. Please help them to stay strong in the face of adversity, remind them daily of your love for them and warm their hearts with your spirit. We also ask for a blessing upon the doctors who care for this special person. Give them the power of discernment as they make decisions for her treatment. Allow their hands to be steady and their minds to be open to your guidance as we know that all things are in your hands and with you, all things are possible.

We lift up our friends that their names be echoed in the heavens this day and that they be blessed by your loving grace.

We say these things most humbly in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Robin.....I'm sorry to hear this but I'm praying for God's direction and support for each of you during this time.

Please know that I'll be here for you to help in any way we can. Let yourself be weak too....I know many decisions need to be made but remember in Ecclesiastes.....There is a time for everything.

We hold you tight in our prayers.

Love and hugs from both of us..

Mom has a appointment with the Oncologist this upcoming Thursday afternoon. Please pray that it goes well for her. I know she is very frightened, we all are.
Thank you.

My sister was just telling me this fall about some of the advances in detecting certain cancers of the mouth, throat, and stomach I believe.... she works in that dept. at the Mayo clinic... she was saying they can now detect them with a urine sample instead of invasive procedures because you swallow some of the cancer cells and you urinate some of them out. It's a way of detecting them sooner since you may not have as many signs and it's a cheaper way of detecting them. I thought that was interesting.

I don't know much about stomach cancer and I hope you and your family feel comfortable with your doctors and the facility that you are going to.

I know with my recent heart issues I am having second thoughts and really considering it would be beneficial to get a second opinion.

Make sure to write down any questions you have before you go and write the answers down and make sure you understand what they are saying even if that means they have to repeat themselves and clarify themselves. It's a big deal and you all need to make informed decisions about her wellness program.

May God be with you and help guide you and lay His hand upon your mom and comfort her, In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Love in Christ,
Gretchen

Prayers for your family are being sent up. My father in law had stomach cancer... they removed alot of things (i dont know the exact details). And they were able to remove all of the cancer. I pray that they can do the same for your mother!
