My neighbor is complaining about my rooster :/

I have to agree here, the neighbour I don't think is being unreasonable if he doesn't like the rooster crowing in the middle of the night. I enjoy my roos crowing but if I was woken up at 2 am even I could be a bit annoyed. Putting the roo in the basement or something for the night might help muffle the sound a bit.

Okay, I just talked to my naighbor today. I apologized again for my little man crowing a couple times a week in the middle of the night. I reassured him that I am diligently working on a solution. When I told him that I would consider re-homing him if all else fails, he said that I should not do that. He said that we (his household and mine) would probably get used to it. He reminded me how much my kids love the little guy.

I just installed my AC's today, so I wont hear him when he starts crowing, unfortunately my neighbor doesnt use an AC in his bedroom. I will have to start bringing him eggs again. I did last year before they went to Florida for the winter.

Try the crate suggestion! Yeah, I can't blame the neighbor for telling you about the middle of the night crowing and I would do what I could to solve the problem which it sounds like you are in coming in this board.
Has this neighbor complained about the crowing in the day time?

That was nice of the neighbor to consider the kids. You could also bring him an electric fan or a white noise machine with the eggs. I remember when I lived in the dorm in college we used a fan to muffle the noises from the hall and i still like white noise to muffle the sound of my husband's occasional snoring.

I should bring over a sound maker w/ eggs. Both of my kids sleep with one in their rooms. Great idea

See? Hugs all around for the neighborly way of dealing with things. Without shots being fired, animals getting eaten, or the cops being called!

White noise machine might be a good present for him.

Good to hear! It sounds like this neighbor is reasonable. I'm glad the communication has been opened and you can still maintain a good rapport. Maybe the neighbor has an idea to try as well??
