IMO, an AVIAN VET should know one of his employees "doesn't like birds" and allowed someone in her home to abuse birds in front of witnesses. I have exotic birds that go to a special avian vet from time to time. They have some hefty charges because of their specialty. If anyone in my vet's office had done what this woman did.....I would not take my birds back again.....and I would tell everyone in the 'bird community' so they would be warned as well. Bird lovers stick together, and won't put up with anything like that.
Now a smart avian vet wouldn't risk their reputation getting ruined and would be wise to counsel or terminate any employee who could lose them lots of business.
This is not vindictiveness on anyone's part....this is to protect bird owners such as myself from improper handling or care of our precious birds as we pay big bucks to have them cared for. Avian vets routinely treat birds that cost several thousand dollars each, and are up to 50 year old, lifelong companions. I personally demand a high degree of integrity for a vet in this field.

THAT .....................sounds like a great idea!!!!!!!!!! I vote yes - except when it comes time to pay the bill, THEN tell the receptionist in a loud but not yelling voice - " Can I utilize the employee discount of the employee that works here whose husband abused my pet" and make sure the waiting room is REAL crowded, like on a Satuday morning..................
This would be very good ideal. Make sure you vidieo/sound record the whole thing to CYA.
So its not said you done this in vindictive way.....

And how, exactly, is this anything BUT vindictive?? The WIFE didn't do anything this time!
Also, making the blanket statement "I hate birds" once in a stressful situation does not promise a personal abuse or mistreatment of birds at one's workplace. I personally hate dogs. I have dogs. My neighbor has dogs. Do I abuse them? Even when they annoy me? NO. Would I treat them with kindness and respect if they were injured or needed help? YES.

No not being vindictive its called venting as is throwing things out but NOT acting on them.
Its just ideals that let the fact your not happy with what happened be expressed, not letting
it stay inside you eat away to you do something you will regret.
Each to there own way of dealing with lifes troubles. I look at it like this theres times
Each of us say things that are not meant to be mean sounding but there taken that way.
Lots of things are written we enjoy thinking we will do them, they get rid of the anger by
using your imagination an thinking of the looks on folks face. But do we act on them no.
I did state it was not vindictive. I just said to CYA.
I still tell her to CYA no matter what she decides to do. None of us
can make her do anything she dont want to do.
Ultimate Responsilbilty for her own actions is her decision.
