My New Babies!!

While going broody waiting to get some Easter Egger chicks my Hubby surprise me with these little darlings!
They are two week old pullets. 4 Colombian Rock and 2 Rhode Island Reds.
I AM SO HAPPY!!!

We had planned on getting day old chicks and so had this little tote ready.
Now we are linning this dog crate with wire for them instead.

Wow, they do look a little crowded.

The crate is 2'4 inches wide by 3'6 inches long by 2'6 inches tall.
Lots of room foe running and playing and growing.

Lol it was meant for my a couple day olds. Now it will be a viewing cage for a couple at a time to get them desensatized around my daughter.
We will get a bigger tote for the day olds now that we see how cramped the feeders make it.

Is there anything special I can do to help tame my new chicks? Treats or special ways of holding them? They are already 2 weeks old.

Give them lots of treats when you are with them and hold them at least twice a day. Oh and make sure you play with them too.
