I am posting some pictures of my newest baby. He/she was born early this morning. The mother is a mixed silkie, (not pictured) and the father is a barnyard mixed. What ever it is, I still think it's beautiful.

This is acting mom. No one knows what breed she is. She's mean too!

She's been broody a couple of times and this is her first time with a baby. I had 3 eggs to begin with because I wanted to have a few more chicks that would hopefully lay the chocolate colored eggs. (I was hoping for girls) But the other 2 eggs got broken somehow. Actually I didn't think the egg was going to hatch. This is my second baby so I'm happy with it. As far as mama goes, well so far she's been a good mom and very protective.
