My new brooder

Just set up my new brooder a few days ago. Picked a large tote sitting around the house. It was Iimportant to have a window so my kids could see them. So I cut out one side and hot glued a peice of plexi-glass. Then I cut out a large hole in the top and drilled out some holes to zip tie some extra cage wire I had for ventilation.

Ended up being a cat tv lol

It looks fantastic! I wish I'd had a piece of plexiglass for mine! Definitely looks better than my wire window!

really cool! I use those totes also. they work easy to hold about 10 chicks for a week.

Does lowes carry plexiglass like that?

Yea the tubs don't last long. I have a grow out pen and coop for young chicks when they get to big. Lowes should have it for about $5-$10.

I got some silkie chicks along with my others (2barred rock, 2ee,1 silver laced Wyandotte) so I needed more room. Built a big brooder 4x2
