Lookin' good, Maple!

Very nice house and property, I really like it!
I know about the scooter traffic, and truck traffic. We live between Charleston and Edisto, a favorite weekend destination, and during the week it's dump trucks from the sand and gravel pits.

Really pretty place you've gotten!

...and meatkind...yes, peonies and in an odd place too...around that tree that eventually shall grow bigger and behind all the pines...so kinda tucked away back there...but no matter, good place to put chairs and enjoy the sunset...

I plan on going to my childhood home and diggin up my childhood peonies that come in a fuschia pink and a white as long as some other plants.

This property has some nice landscape. The previous owner was a landscaper. Besides some lilly and hostas...I see some hydrangeas and there are some cute lil burgundy/white trim flowers too that I don't know what they are and there were yellow tulips that came in the spring and I'm sure there are some others I will be surprised with once they bloom....I'm excited about the hydrangeas but don't know what color to expect.

I'm bringing my blue hyrdrangea bush that I had just planted on my dogs grave a year ago...hope the people don't go diggin too many things up.

Like the side of the garage has all the cat graves....and hamster and ferrets....

oh and lots of semi traffic...mostly those related with farming in one way or another....and heading south you're headed to the next town over that has the nuclear plant...so probably have a lot of their traffic going to that town....at least coming and going.

Trying to figure out the neighobrs across the way...they don't sleep...seems to be young couple and a friend who visits often and I swear I hear shot gun blasts sometimes at 10 pm or even at 3 am but they live across the road more in a residential lot...neighbors on all sides...so I have noticed some things like my other place seemed more peaceful and serene at times and especially the middle of the night...I will miss that. I don't mind sitting in the dark on the porch though and trying to figure out the neighbors and seems the other neighbors directly across the street informed me they have 6 "stray" cats. Stray? You don't transport and relocate "strays" where you move, or feed them, get them spayed/neutered...but whatever. I asked if they were spayed/neutered since I have 2 outdoor cats who are fixed and just wanted to see what kind of dynamics I might be looking at here with territorial wars.... She said all but 2 males. ha...great. But then curiously enough her black one and her white/caramel one were using my front porch as mating grounds the other week. hmmm....all spayed and neutered but 2 males huh? uh huh...I believe you.

and I'm in walking distance from the feed store...I told my girls we would take our wagon and go up to get feed.

And I'm right next to a meat processors...I was at the gas station that's only a pay pump...no attendant and we sat there and watched them unload a truck of cows to get made into some hamburger. ha ha...uh...yum? I love thier cottage bacon.

Also in walking distance of the school that my youngest went to preschool just this year but they just shut it down so now it's not anything yet...but it has a nice park. I heard they may make it a community center? Who knows. I also hear the train that's up the road, next to the feed store. It's a very tiny town...no real shops really left to speak of but within driving distance of a grocery store and at least it has a pay only gas pump and at least there are pop machines there...just in case.

This house belonged to my sisters childhood friend and I saw her at the pizza place and told her I was looking at a house right next to hers...she said...no, don't buy that one...buy mine. I didn't know they were moving. They are moving closer to the high school in the town I just left---my kids will keep the same school district---but she wanted her teens to be closer to school since sometimes they'll walk and soon her son will get his drivers license...So I went and looked at her house, the price was right, it was in better condition then the one I was looking at next to it...so it seemed to have worked out.

Walking distance to the feed store.... oooh.... aahhhh... SOLD. Before I even finished reading your sentence I was visualizing walking up there with a wagon. Not that I have any kids...

I know... now I want one of those heavy duty wagons with the nice terrain lookin tires with higher sides to hold at least 2 bags or 3 withouth them slipping off the sides as the wagon jiggles down the street.
