I felt very lucky when they walked right in. I had many many people tell me horrible stories of trying to load there pigs. It might of helped that I held off on there feed the night before. I left just a little for them. So when they seen me in the morning when it was time to load, they might of thought I had food with me. But then again anytime they seen me they would come running for a treat and belly rub.
I have a feeling the 3 we are raising right now are not going to be as easy to load. Even though we have only had them a short time as of right now they are no where near as friendly as the last 2 were....
Growing up my friends parents use to work on a pig farm. We would go over and help all the time. I couldn't believe how some of those pigs were treated. Specially the ones that got out. I seen many many times her parents taking boards with nails and hitting the pigs, or cut off chunks of garden hose and whipping the pigs with those. It was horrible.
I have never ever ever hit one of our pigs. And I think they know I like them also..Or maybe they just know I am the one with the FOOD!!!!!
