I ordered from Healthychicksandmore.com

I ordered on 4/23 and had my chicks by 4/30. All arrived healthy and are still going strong. They are out of OHIO.

Minimum order was 10

I have ordered other items from MPC and had a good experience with them.

NO clipped beaks from MPC...mine are all doing REALLY super well at 4 weeks and look beautiful too! I got 6 total: BA's and GLW's pullets.

MPC is in Connecticut. They hand pick their chicks from various hatcheries. Sometimes they are drop shipped from a hatchery they work with located closer to the customer then they might be.

I spoke to MPC on the phone a couple weeks ago. I was looking for a certain breed and didn't want to order 25 of them. They were very nice, and very helpful. My order will be coming from a hatchery in Ohio since it's closer.

Ok i have some questions, just to ask....

Why is it that all of the other hatcherys have a minimum of 25 chicks but MPC has min. of 3?

Does MPC have packing peanuts?

Where is MPC?

thanks...im just wondering, though i dont have chicks, or wont be getting any....

oh and a few more questions......

It says at the bottom of the chick page that the minimum order is 3 chicks for major cities, (LA, ect.), what happens if you order, lets say 4 chicks and you are a not so major city? packing peanuts?

if they are in CT (conneticut) how long would it take for chicks to arrive if you livved in CA?

Oh and does any one have a picture of there chicks or chickens from MPC?

Some they hand pick from a list of hatcheries they work with. Sometimes they are drop shipped. It depends on what breed, and availabilty. That's how it was explained to me.
They are good folks, and really care about what happens with their chicks. I'm not sure if it's on their web site, but it's explained a little bit in their FAQ's.

If you aren't in a major city I think the minimun order is 5 or 8 depending on how far away from major city you are. They don't do packing peanuts. The chicks are shipped in a real nice box with bedding, and grow gel.

If you do order from them, call them and order on phone. They will be able to tell you exactly what your minimum order is for your location. I'm pretty far away from any major city, so my minimum was 8.

My minimum was also 8 (they explain it on their website) and I ordered 10, which should be here next week. I can't wait! I also ordered coop plans from them. They are very helpful people!

I'm getting:

3 Light Brahma bantams
2 white w/black tail Japanese bantams
2 gold sebright bantams
2 SS and
1 red sex link

hopefully all girls, so fun to be able to mix & match!

Thanks for answering, but i still have a question, what if you order online, and you order 4 chicks but your about 3oo miles-ish from a moajor city? what will they do?
