My Pet Chicken

If you aren't in a major city I think the minimun order is 5 or 8 depending on how far away from major city you are. They don't do packing peanuts. The chicks are shipped in a real nice box with bedding, and grow gel.

If you do order from them, call them and order on phone. They will be able to tell you exactly what your minimum order is for your location. I'm pretty far away from any major city, so my minimum was 8.

Hope that helps

Thanks for answering, but i still have a question, what if you order online, and you order 4 chicks but your about 3oo miles-ish from a moajor city? what will they do?

Call them first. I'm guessing your minimum will be 8 like mine was. I didn't order mine online, so I'm not sure if it tells you while your checking out your order.
I called them first because I wanted to know what post office they would be sent to. I didn't want them being sent to like Detroit, when I live no where near Detroit for example. I also wasn't sure where my main hub was, so they helped me narrow that down.

oh and a few more questions......

It says at the bottom of the chick page that the minimum order is 3 chicks for major cities, (LA, ect.), what happens if you order, lets say 4 chicks and you are a not so major city? packing peanuts?

if they are in CT (conneticut) how long would it take for chicks to arrive if you livved in CA?

Oh and does any one have a picture of there chicks or chickens from MPC?

i might have a few more, but thanks!

They pack your chicks with little heating pads, like the hand warmers you get in camping stores and I understand they put in green electrolyte jelly for them plus they use tons of a straw type material so I am sure it keeps them super warm and comfortable. I live in a rural area and my minimum order was 8, but they have increased that minimum to 10 for bantams according to the web site. They do not use packing peanuts as far as I know.

I had a running list for a while and it kept counting down to how many more I needed. They won't ship anything unless the minimum is met.

I got my babies from there, they are 1 week old and doing great. ( will post pics later today)Im a first time owner with no idea of what to do, they also have a great info center there. I was kinda suprpised I did not get any "extras" as they say they usually send, but mine are fine and growing fast!

I got my order from them yesterday and I love them!! They are wonderful. I have another order lined up for Jun 8 (the breeds I wanted didn't hatch until then) and I can't wait!
