I want some too! I really need some pure polish. The frizzle I have doesnt look very polish. She has a single comb and her head doesn't look crested. She is just barely feathered though. Does the crest grow in last? I sure hope so. Her frizzling looks great.

I am gonna post a pic of her soon. I know the comb is wrong but couldnt that be from the frizzle? She's cool regardless. I just hope my eggs look more polish.
I have a gold-laced roo and a white hen. They are curious, but not friendly. They had chicks and everyone of them, even full grown and hand raised, are the flightiest, craziest, twits I have. If you take one off the roost at night (the only way I can get near them) to trim their head feathers so they can see, they go absolutely crazy. Dh really wants me to sell them because they are so crazy. But I love my "classy" roo, who is not aggressive in the least towards people, and so I just can't give them up.

Well actually the Frizzled variety of polish is a purebred and recognized by the APA, so if a smooth feathered polish was mixed with a frizzled cochin you would get mixed breed babies. To get a pure bred frizzle polish you would breed a frizzled polish to a smooth polish.
Oh okay. I was wondering about that. That maks sense. I really want to get into some show quality birds for when I start breeding them. I am trying to be able to eventually make some money off of my chicken hobby. Oh well. I have a foo foo pure blood Marans and I can't stand it. My mixed chicks and feed store babies are a 100 x sweeter. That just gives me an excuse to keep hatching !
