This pic was too funny not to share! This is Butter, and she’s going through her first adult molt and dropped almost all her feathers at once. I couldn’t get a front or rear pic but she looks so silly with a naked butt full of pin feathers. I felt so bad for her when they first all fell out, thank goodness they’re growing back in fast! As you can clearly see in the pic, she is choosing to put on a brave face, stand tall to appear confident and is still strutting her stuff despite being very underdressed for these chilly Autumn temps.


If I were to caption this it would be “when your 3rd grader doesn’t want to admit you were right when you warned them that it was cold outside and they needed to wear a jacket.”
