My project chicks

That is a bummer! I wonder why it's not really taking? Those lacing genes must be strong!
I can only hope they get them back im hoping this one keeps hers as its still strong

Well they all are lost/losing the mottling so this was a waste of three years.... Really aint worth carring on this anymore since apparently both parents need to be mottled as they apparently cant be splits that doesnt work and since none are mottled wont ever get a mottled from them so gonna scrap this project

Heres the disapointments now. None have mottling and the one that did is losing them so this was 3 years wasted last pic is the male that I was gonna use but not worth the time for this kinda wanna get out of chickens this isnt fun anymore...nothing is

I’m so sorry you’re feeling bummed out 🙁 Chickens can definitely be a challenge…lots of frustration and heartache. 😢 Maybe take some time to re-evaluate what you like and don’t like about chickening and see where you stand. I always try not to make big decisions when I’m feeling really down and defeated…as I always regret it later. I’m feeling frustrated myself…I’ve been losing chickens to some phantom illness (finally figured out it’s a vitamin deficiency) and my heart just can’t take the losses :-( I feel like a bad chickener…:-( hugs :hugs
