I don't think it would have killed the other chickyes it hurts so much and it's so complicated because I want to help her but I know I could cause more harm than good . I have just checked the ventilation hole and the tissue was covering it so I'm glad I just ripped some of it because now there is more ventilation could this have been why my other one suffocated ? The pip hole is on the side so is that okay it's between upwards and down so I wouldn't like to turn it downwards ?
She does look very big, that may have been her problem, she might not have had enough space to turn,This was my baby that's passed awayisn't she beautiful I thought she was a big chick for a quail . I'm fingers crossed that this unhatched chick will be okay and survive .
That makes sense, if you think about it, it would be hard to pip upward when gravity is pulling down so the side makes more senseYes I have not touched the egg pip hole is in a position where I can see it but it not upwards but more to the side if that makes sense![]()
Each baby is an individual, I have had babys not pip at all and go straight to zipping and I have had babys internally pip 24 hours later externally pip 24 hours later zip, so it really depends on your babyThankyou so muchcould be a few hours then I've read it can take 24 hours or so ? I did think that yes she may have been to big for the egg xx
How long since pip? There is no change so should I intervene? It's 21 days
