3 years is old for Mareks, unless new birds were added recently.

That would be very devastating for our family. My father in law keeps saying that he think he got bit by a snake. We live in Arizona.

Hope it's that then. Anything is better than Mareks. I would keep an eye on the others if I were you, for a few days, to be sure.

It's possible those chick were vaccinated for it. Are they in the same run with the older birds?

Yes, but not as likely as having it brought in by new chickens.

They are all together and I doubt they are vaccinated I have no idea I had to, ive had chickens since I was young and never had this issue.

ETA: i hope it's mites or something easily solved. However, if the poor guy passes, you might want to consider a necropsy by a lab.
