MY ROOSTER EATING A SOCK HELP FAST

honey it sounds like you care allot for your rooster and you are trying to make him stop crowing, but maybe its time to give him to someone who doesn't mind his crowing, maybe when you get older the crowing wont seem so irritating to you. i i know sometimes money is hard to come by and taking your rooster to the vet is impossible but that is just another reason to give him to someone that can care for him,,, maybe a nice farm where he can crow all he wants and have his own pack of hens to boss around... its hard to let things go that we care for but sometimes its for the best....

He doesn't crow anymore for some reason so we are not giving away he loves help is flock

I don't get it, a few hours ago you said he's crowing at night, now you're saying he doesn't crow anymore so which is it? Did you go and see if he's trying to alert you to a problem? Most of the time when mine crows it's because there's an issue or he's ticked about something, aside from the normal morning crow (and apparently I have too polite of a rooster who waits until 8:30/9am to crow).

Your posts are very difficult to to read and understand. It looks like most of the issues come from lack of punctuation and that pesky autocorrect. You may find that proofreading your posts before hitting the "submit" button will result in people being better able to understand you, thus being able to better help you.

I was not going to reply for various and probably obvious reasons but I feel I must because, bottom line, regardless of grammar, communication barriers or age, there is a rooster who may need help.

My suggestion, if you cannot take him to a Vet, is to coax him into eating some sardines in oil.

I have found in the past that chickens like sardines and the oil will hopefully aid him in passing any bits of sock he has eaten.

If he is wearing a sock because you do not want him to crow, it sounds like it is not working and he is also trying to remove it.

Please, for his sake, find him a home where he can crow to his heart’s content without the risk of dying from either choking or blockage.

I am also guessing that you are trying to stop him from crowing because you are not allowed to have a rooster? This raises the question, why do you want to keep a rooster? Is it because he looks after the flock?

I am not allowed to have a rooster here and for that reason, I have to look out for the flock. Free range is supervised, the girls run to me when scared etc. If it is because you want fertile eggs, these can be ordered online or picked up locally. Is he part of a breeding program? May be the breeding program needs to go on hold until you are in a position that you are able to keep roosters?

What I am trying to say is, if you are not allowed to have a rooster, please do not torture him by trying to keep him; there are alternatives.

this our first time for me but my dad over 22 years in vietnam but we bought chicken here mass

Do you think your sister or someone older could post us so we can find out what is going on? All I've gotten out of this is a headache.
