My rooster kind of acts like a hen.

Ok so this guy is 3 months old. And he actually acts a lot like a hen. He is a fravolles. He likes to sit in a nesting box with the the fravolles hen behind him like a lot. he will a lot of times be in the nesting box and she will be out of it still close by. The other hens pick on him and his comb dosent seam very red or large. Could I be mistaken? could this be a hen? Or just a late developer. And could there possibly be some thing wrong with him? I use DE, they have all recently been de-wormed. I have never owned a rooster. And I just recently got back into raising chickens after 20 years of not doing it. ( I was a child at the time) please some one help me understand what might be going on or am I just getting paranoid about him?

My roosters at 12 weeks have very large red combs.... Can we have comparison pictures to your other hens?

My last Salmon Faverolles rooster slept in a nest box at night. All the girls were on the roost.

Yup salmon colored hens don't have black chests males do.
