My roosters acting weird

I feed my rooster 22 percent protein feed at all times. He also gets sunflower seeds, yogurt, kale, fresh corn, grapes, mealworms, and bread his favorite. I rotate the items every other day. He's 3 years strong and healthy.

I just did that mixed with a little raw egg. Hes gotten weaker since earlier
I apologize for not being more detailed in my first response - my bad. Thiamine is b1, I believe RoosterBooster is b12. You'll need to try giving him b1 or b complex vitamin (something with b1 in it). You can crack a human b complex or b1 vitamin in half and give him that if that's all you have. Then also try to get some RoosterBooster in him as well as some water if he isn't drinking.

On a side note, there are other things that can cause lack of balance besides a thiamine deficiency. Vitamin e/selenium deficiency can also sometimes cause neurological issues with symptoms such as a drunken-stagger or head shaking/twitching (like seizing).

Scaly leg mite and bumblefoot is something else that cause a chicken to be off balance but those are things you'd notice right off the bat.

Fungal infections from wet or moldy feed (check your feed, check that the containers you're using to ferment your feed are very clean), Marek's disease, and botulism (which is food poisoning from over ripe fruits and veggies or toxic plants) can also throw a chicken off balance.

Honestly to me, it sounds like a b1 deficiency unless you find something off with your feed. And if you happen to be using a layer feed, you might consider changing to an all-flock.

Good luck, I hope your roo recovers. Keep us posted. :)

Rooster Booster is a name brand, they have several products on the market including just B12:)
Out of the assortment of Rooster Booster vitamin and mineral supplements, I've only seen one that contains vitamin b1 and it was in pellet form. I made the assumption that it's likely not the one he has on hand...because isn't that the way it usually goes? 😂
