A little update: five of the eggs have died, only one remains. I really think it was the dirt. They were really dirty and when we candled you could see stuff on the inside. They are very gross. I will be eggtopsying them in a few days.

you may want to eggtopsy sooner rather than later, they really start to snell as time goes on and it makes the task much worse-
Really sorry to hear that so many quit... What day is the remaining egg on?

Me too! If it doesn’t though we always have other options. The lady said we could get eggs whenever and there is also Tractor Supply. Gotta stay positive and hopeful!

Also sorry! Life gets hectic and I forget to update. I’ve been working recently and haven’t been home much so I haven’t had time to update. My sister is in charge of the hatch. I gave her the hatching reins so to speak and let her monitor and adjust temperatures and humidity, and she’s been doing great! She was so excited when she discovered the pip!

Update: the little duck gave up mid hatch. He/she almost had its yolk absorbed then it just looked like it gave up.
