Oh good! I find them so inhumane looking to be having no feathers! Not to mention chicken look more scary entirely naked of no feathers!

The purpose of the creation of this bizarre breed was for making a practical meat bird that requires little to no plucking, which would save money, for meat industry.

It's a Walnut comb, just an Extra large one. He sees fine.

It looks almost exactly like one of my lavender Wyandottes rose comb, and I think it's superbly beautiful.. that boy's pretty good looking barnyard cross!

Walnut according to my understanding IS a modified Rose.

Walnut is made up of both Rose, & Pea comb genes. It can have 4 different combinations.

This boy here is Rr/Pp.

I had a male with a single comb that was about that big. Beautiful until frostbite happened. I have a male and his son with similar combs to yours too (I was told a crysthansium comb for the dad and a modified for the son)

Never heard of a Crythansium comb.

Maybe it's called something else. It looks like a shield comb mixed with a peacomb and free standing.
