My tailess Call duck Story, (graphic pics included)

That is unreal! i wonder would a double egg yolk cause that? an undeveloped twin?? fantastic story! looks so sweet. Survivor would be a good name lol
George Stark - I don't know if any of you have read Stephen King's the Dark half but it's about him having a twin growing inside him.

I honestly love Amykins' idea of Rumpelstiltskin - because everyone is trying to come up with (guess) his name!!

I passed over this thread a few times due to it saying graphic pics, but then curiousty (while staying up stressng over soon to come baby ducks) got the better of me!
What a brave person you are and how lucky he is because of it. I don't know if I could have done it for fear of hurting him. You rock!
Very Touching!
OH TRUST ME, I did not want to do it, but to see him decreasing, I couldn't stand to just watch him die and I'm pretty sure he would have. He just kept falling over, losing his balance, he couldn't clean himself off like they do when they get wet because everytime he tried boom he would fall. He couldn't be by any water, he would fall into his water dish and with that baby fluff, he was like a sponge... so any water that he came in contact with would just weigh him down. I think the sadest part was watching that one leg just get weaker and weaker making him fall.

Yeh a duck who couldn't be by water. ???? But he made it pretty easy, because when I twisted that thing one way, he would Peep but when I went the other way. Nothing so my mind was keeping twisting that way until he does peep. Well it came off before that happened. LOL..

OK here's some more news, so last night I decided to see how he does swimming. AHHH, not good. First the one leg kept slipping backwards, making him fall.. but I thought well that's OK because once the water is high enough he won't need to use that leg but to swim right? WRONG. Once the water got high enough so that he couldn't touch bottom, he would peddle really really fast, but he wasn't going anywhere except in a circle. POOR thing just kept going in a circle, so I'm wondering now if they need the tail to guide them? meaning they need it in order to turn or direct them??

Well that wasn't the worst part, because he would move his little legs soooo fast, He's breathing got bad, real heavy and I could hear a squeeky noise. The whole swimming trip took about 15 secs TOP. I drained the water and said OK no swimming for you for a while or ever. So I'm a little worried about him ever going outside to hang out with the other ducks.

Then I watched him as he tried to dry himself off. Of course, he would lose his balance but not so bad to where would fall on his face. More like if you were on a balance beam and your kind of wobbly but you don't fall off the balance beam.. That's how he was just wobbly.

Then he did the FUNNIEST thing. He tried to BOB.. This is when they move there heads down and up tring to splash the water on there backs. This silly guy started to do that, ONLY there's NO WATER.. LOL. He's at the bottom of the cage, walking around the entire cage, Bobbing. LOL.. He could have gone to the water dish but noooo instead just walking around the cage, bob, bob, bobbing. LOL..

and in case you were wondering, NOPE, he never did get cleaned. LOL. there was NO WATER.. LOL.. He's a silly guy that's for sure..

What, who me??
