My tailess Call duck Story, (graphic pics included)

OMG I had no idea someone created that stuff!!! I have a lame duck that sometimes gets stuck in the pool...and she gets waterlogged. I have to blow-dry her before putting her in the coop. I will have to get some to put on her!
:) I would caution to just try it on a small part at first to make sure there's no adverse reaction to it because it's formulated for humans. Hopefully, it helps!

I wonder if there's some kind of substitute oil you can get because he will need it to keep his feathers in good condition as he grows up.

You might want to research this issue so you're ready for when he grows up. I'm sure he's not the first domestic duck to have a preen oil loss issue.

EDITED: Perhaps something like this can help him when he grows feathers?

This may definitely be something I need for Rumpy. THANK YOU....

I guess there's real artificial duck oil, but they say it's a cleaner like WD40, so I definitely wouldn't recommend that. Bio-oil supposedly is a moisturizer. But, whatever you try, I would suggest trying only a small amount at first.

WD40? OMG, I don't want to put that on him, my goodness the poor little guy has already been threw enough..

OK so the little guy stayed outside most of the day with me, he hung out with his brothers and sisters but he is sooooo cute, when he has had enough he will follow ANYONE that is headed to the house. Sure enough he followed my son to the house while I was out working on cleaning all the water feeders. I had to go get him, wash him down and put him back into the broody with his chicken friends. LOL. he's so funny..

Awwww! Please take photos when you do! <3

Also, as a first-time duck owner, I have to ask - is the creek on your property? If not, how do you know the 'lings will come back to you when it's time to go? I want to be able to take my duck to the river and lakes around my city (living in the northwest is awesome for that) but I worry that unless I keep 'em on a harness I'll have trouble getting them back!
the creek is on my land.... it was a drainage ditch.... and i dug it...by hand, and moved rocks in...just for the ducks....i'm crazy...lol i thought i had a pic to post....guess not....but ill get one,

At four weeks they can go swimming now, not sure what your waiting for but sure they are able and definitely ready..
they still sink! and quick too! these babies are constantly preening and smearing the oils around, but 5 seconds in the tub and they are wet to the skin! i'm putting a preformed pond in the flower bed today for them, that way i can get them fast if they start to sink the creek is a bit to big i think to get them all in a hurry
