NO idea, but im going to place my new order of BEI's and Blue Fawn's!! i gotta wait a LONG TIME based upon what Dave was saying.

I think take orders all year, its just a matter of when they can fill them. If they have the adult birds on hand, and they are not held, then you can get em!! as far as ducklings/goslings go, give em a call and see what they have! Dave and Millie are the best!!

NAH, so long as they keep their heads down low, you won't even see them.

I placed my order at the beginning of January for a requested mid-April delivery. I paid in full even though I would have been allowed to put down a deposit and pay the rest 21 days before shipping. That way I didn't have to worry about the balance.
I ordered some Saxonies, Indian Runners (the assorted deluxe) and some Australian Spotted. Would love to have ordered more but the ban account said no.
So I at least have a couple more months to wait if not longer. But that's okay. I can wait. It isn't that I don't have other fuzzies. There are 12 7 week old chicks in the basement brooder waiting for the snow to melt so they can go outside. I also have 15 buff orpington eggs in the incubator due to hatch next weekend. Then there is the order I just placed at the feed store for a few Bourbon Red turkeys and a few more chicks. And eventually I will be trying to hatch out some Midget White turkeys. But I do have to say I am probably the most excited about the ducks.

Me too!! Ive been hatching for about 5 months. I have hatched over 300 birds, maybe more (quail, chickens.) I just started hatching my OWN chicken eggs, and have had 2 successful hatches of my BLRW's and RIR's. I have never hatched out a duck egg before, but always wanted to. I got a pair of BEI's about 3 months ago, and they started laying late last month. It took her 14 days to lay 9 eggs. I didn't know how many she was going to clutch, so i decided that i would take them with the thoughts that it was 1- too cold for brooding, 2- i was getting new ducks and didnt know if they would disrupt them, and 3-i was starting to worry about the fertility after 2 weeks. I stole all 9 of them from her, put them in my bator, and all 9 are developing!! Im so excited!! I have 9 BEI's due the 8th of march (pending development of course)!!

On a bad note though, she hasn't laid an egg in the subsequent time (2 weeks), and im wondering if she will lay again?

Thats so awesome thats when my duck eggs are due also and plus thats my Birthday.

She could just be taking some weeks off if its cold and if any new changes.

They ship on my birthday, May 23rd. I asked for my order in April, because my birthday is cursed and I don't want my ducklings to suffer the consequences.
