My trip to Holderreads!!! **Pic heavy, and very long winded (sorry)***

Here are my blues from Holderreads. They are still very shy.

They share the tractor with Wacky.
Laffy is the lighter blue (girl) with the black bill.
Taffy is the solid blue (boy) with the dark green bill.
Wacky is the penciled (girl)

Here is my first egg.

Started out with 2 but one got laid in the water and did not make it.

Due date is 3/5.

Will post pic if it hatches ok.
You can see the head & the bill through the shell.

Actually I can't wait to see what her babies will look like.

I'm playing with the colours and hoping to get a lavender out of her, but I think I need to have a brown male and a silver female instead.

Dave said the brown dilution gene is carried by males and Wacky is a female.
But it'll still be fun to see what my egg will look like all feathered out.

I'm probably not going to keep it though.

Tractor is only built for max of 5 and I have to save space for my new ducklings (cinnamons & blues) from Holderreads

My runners I have just now are from Metzers..but Ive got an order in with Holderreads.

Me too. Plus some cos I have an incubator & I made a hatching box too.
Caught a very severe case of hatchititus early this month. Cant stop now.

I have 12 ordered, and thinking of adding to my order with some runners. I really like those blue runners. thinking 4 more on top of 12 silkies won't be noticed too much will they?
