50's here but I won't complain either, we still have some ice and snow laying around but should be all gone by end of the week..
my chickens sure are enjoying the nice change, and my ducks and goose got to take bathes yesterday without ice forming on them when they got out. AS for the mites/lice you can get a product called Epernix pour on most feed stores should have it, what you do is put it on the skin between their wings right below their necks, it will take care of internal and external parasites and there is no egg withdrawl. I have mine on a 3 times a year schedule, and yep you'll need to clean out your coop and dust or spray it down to make sure you get all the cracks and crevices I like to use sevin spray because It gets into everywhere easier, not as easy to use in the winter but I only spray in the spring and fall when I do a complete cleaning. The lost feathers could be her pecking herself or the others starting something that can get out of hand real quick so yep keep a close eye on them to be sure it's not one of the chickens doing it. so happy to hear she's doing well and hopefully this is over for good. let us know how things are going, and have a great day!!you can also order Epernix at Jeffers livestock supplies on line. I'll get the amt to use and be back. okay Epernix: large fowl 6drops
small fowl 4drops. I use a dropper but you can use a needleless syringe also
