My White Eggs Turned Brown/Tan....???

Is it normal to hear them peep inside the egg? It can breathe and isn't stuck is it?

Yes, it's called pipping and it's when they start to get air into their lungs, giving them the ability to communicate with their mother and siblings prior to hatching. It takes hours for them to finish hatching and they'll be exhausted by the time they're finished. They'll sleep a lot while they're drying off and fluffing up and the yolk provides them with enough sustenance to get them through their first couple of days while they gain strength.

Y'all are AWESOME!! I'm sure y'all are probably thinking this girl didn't even need to try and have a chicken… But I love all animals and I wanted to pet and hold the ones at the shop but they obviously wouldn't let me because no one ever did growing up so I wanted to raise them to where I can do that!

We all have to start somewhere and better to be asking questions now to prepare vs. waiting until after this little one has hatched and not know what to do with it. :)

Wait until it's dry before handling it but if you start talking to it even now, it'll recognize your voice after it's hatched. Then, it'll eventually rush at you every time it hears you...you're it's mom!
