My wish has been granted... one excellent hatch this year...

Ohhhh I want to see a picture! Hair gell and all.

My golden Lakenvelder just peeped for her. (I keep thinking its a squeeky chair or a mouse or something its so quiet.)

Now if I could get a pip - I would know which egg was talking to me...

I am so happy for you! so what color is your last one??

I think I'm actually going to call this one Sterling, after my little blind sweetie... she's a shiny silver under all the hair gel.

PBJmaker, I'll see if I can get a photo...

Ahhh -she is so precious and perfect! I was worried there would be something wrong with her since she took longer to hatch.

I like the name Sterling - very fitting.

Ok - off to bed for me so I can get up early and check the pip

Her navel isn't quite formed over yet, so I'll have to keep an eye on her. I'm going to leave her in the hatcher a little bit longer til she's a little more active. I tried to put her in the brooder with the others, and they promptly stepped on her head to hold her down and proceeded to clean her. She didn't like that, and neither did I...

Leave her by herself for a day in the hatcher or until she gets around good. I have had them attack new chicks and pick at there navels and it wasnt a pretty site. I usally leave mine in the bator for 12-24 hours after a hatch or until they are pipping there heads off and keeping me awake.

LOL! Well, my "'bator room" is in the hot-tub room in the master bedroom... I've been awakened at all hours of the night with this hatch!

And she was lonely in there all by herself. She didn't even have any egg-heads to keep her company!

I really feel like a kid that's given free reign in a candy store.

I'm soooo glad for you! I've watched the incubating thread with both envy and terror, afraid I'll be ham handed at it. It's sooo good to see good news for you!

Congrats on the babies and wow, great pics and GO STERLING! S/he's adorable. I'm really glad you persisted, it gives me hope. Thanks for sharing...

My faith has been restored... I really think it was mostly the handling that weighed in on their success. That and possibly the lack of heat.

Everyone is doing well this morning... such an adorable pack of chunkies!! LOL!
