Has anyone else tried to swat the bug off their monitor only to find its just DLS's avatar????????? I've done it twice now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guilty as charged!!! The first time I saw I I freaked......I was thinking I KNOW I don't have roaches!!!!​

Those aren't stingers. They're for depositing its eggs. And not in peoples' hair either. They are TOTALLY HARMLESS. If there were something more harmless than harmless, that is what they'd be. Do not be freaked out

I think they're actually quite beautiful.

I guess the worst 'bug' scare I have ever had was--when my ds was 7, he loved to run.. Every day after school, he wanted me to drop him off at the end of the road and let him run to the house.. (we have over 1/2 mile of drive). he met the UPS truck and ran out into the field.. When he arrived at my back door....his legs were black w/ tiny, tiny ticks! They were everywhere from his hips to the soles of his shoes.. He kicked off his shoes and went into the tub to strip.. We used rubbing alcohol soaked washclothes. They didn't want to turn loose.. I think he was more calm than I was..I HATE TICKS! Dixie

UUUUGGG! I hate ticks! When i spent my first summer down south i didn't realize they were everywhere (I'm a Yankee if you didn't guess

)! I went into an unplowed feild to catch one of my aunts hens that got louse and when i came back they were EVERYWHERE! I was picking them off of me for days. I'm not afraid of bugs but that scared the S@#! out of me!

I know the experience - I once woke up one morning to a giant mayfly in my hair - totally freaked me out!!! But I still like mayflies - I think they are funny looking critters, as long as they stay away from my hair.

However, you do indeed want those guys in your garden, they kill lots of bad bugs that eat your garden plants, like catepillars and worms. I would love some to come over here! You just don't want them in your hair!!!!
